ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to introduce and overview the theoretical bases which inform a critical understanding of the ways in which social, political, and economic ideologies shape policy, practice, and experience. The chapter is designed around the fundamental notion that: 'All employees should have access to and control on their developmental experiences and these opportunities should be available across a range of levels in the organization. Programs should not only challenge the performative bias of the organization but also help its members achieve success on their own terms'. ABSTRACT

In the industrial era 4.0, it has surpassed increasingly complex technological advances in the information system that required a very high infrastructure and facilities and prevented fraud. Counterfeiting is a procedure following an entity, statistics, or documents (observe forged documents) with plans to deceive. Falsification of extensive information certificates is exacerbated by the current economic situation in Indonesia, which is currently occurring due to the widespread epidemic, namely COVID-19. The spread of the COVID-19 outbreak has had a significant impact and changes in all sectors, especially certificate forgery in Indonesia. The imitation of busy certificates is the main focus of this journal, focusing on journal publications combined with Blockchain technology. The sophistication of blockchain technology as authentication is comparing two or more items or additional tests to ensure the accuracy, correctness, or correctness of the information. This method uses qualitative methods with data sources based on case studies in controlled supervision with the basic concept of cryptography as the basis of analysis. From the decisions made, it is hoped that this will minimize the level of forgery of certificates widely measured during the COVID-19 era. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Academic fraud is a perennial problem, and the Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated it with most universities moving to online learning. We conducted a survey with 259 students from three universities about their perceptions of academic fraud in online learning. This article examines whether individual factors drawing from the dark triad of personality and three situational factors: academic integrity culture, academic fraud ambiguity, and pressure, influence the intention to engage in academic fraud. Using partial least square-structural equation modeling, the results show that academic integrity culture, pressure, and the dark triad of personality significantly affect students' intention to engage in academic fraud. The implication of such findings is discussed. ABSTRACT

Text matching tools employed to detect plagiarism are widely used in universities, but their availability may have pushed students to find ways to evade detection. One such method is the use of automatic paraphrasing software, where assignments can be rewritten with little effort required by students. This paper uses the search engine analytics methodology with data from SEMrush and Google Trends to estimate the level of interest in online automatic paraphrasing tools, focusing on the period 2016 to 2020 and the four countries: the USA, UK, Canada and Australia. The results show a concerning trend, with the number of searches for such tools growing during the period, especially during COVID-19, and notable increases observed during the months where assessment periods take place in universities. The method employed in this study opens up a new avenue of analysis to enrich and supplement the existing knowledge in the field of academic integrity research. The data obtained demonstrates that faculty should be alert for student use of automatic paraphrasing tools and that academic integrity interventions need to be in place across the sector to address this problem. © 2023 Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. An increased focus on patient engagement and the 21st Century Cures Act, regulatory authorities, i.e., the FDA, are embracing the need for more patient-centric drug development and wider access to assure accurate data collection as trials become more decentralized. The focus on improved visibility and oversight of data collection, faster trial implementation, sharing of real-time data and patient comfort and collaboration has led to a variety of eClinical applications. ePRO and other eCOA approaches can transform trials to make them more pragmatic, patient-centric and efficient by maximizing the potential to quickly access data through electronic health records, and especially to assist trial managers to make reliable data-driven decisions, and to mitigate risks. In the area of event prediction, a trial manager can look into a company's historical clinical trial data and provide data guidance when for example, writing new protocols, i.e., for dosages that may need to be increased/ reduced for trials in different geographic areas or age groups.

The new EU MDR should help to simplify the exchange of data on medical devices and improve data collection and post-market surveillance to reinforce end-user confidence in DTx solutions. In Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands, DTx manufacturers have directly targeted self-insured employer health plans, whereas in France, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, a B2P reimbursement model has proven successful.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to examine the impact of trust in the leader (TIL) as a mediating variable between the moral integrity (MI) of the leader and job engagement (JE) and to identify the consequent results that benefit officials in the surveyed institutions. The study population consisted of the employees of two public institutions (The Financial Supervisory Authority in the Governorate of Dhofar and the Directorate of Municipal Affairs in the Governorate of Dhofar). Primary data was collected from a convenient sample of 145 via an electronic questionnaire due to the directives related to social distancing in light of the global health crisis (COVID 19). The data were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Smart Partial Least Squares (Smart PLS). The findings of the study reveal that there is a statistically significant impact of the MI of the leader on the levels of JE on one hand and MI of the leader on the TIL, on the other hand. Moreover, it was also found that TIL partially mediates the relationships between the MI of the leader and JE. © 2023 by the authors;licensee Online Academic Press, USA.

ABSTRACT

This paper covers the design, fabrication, testing, and modeling of a family of Froude-scale tiltrotor blades. They are designed with the objective of gaining a fundamental understanding of the impact of a swept tip on tiltrotor whirl flutter. The goal of this paper is to describe the development of the blades needed for this purpose. The rotor is three bladed with a diameter of 4.75 ft. The blades have a VR-7 profile, chord of 3.15 inches, and linear twist of −37◦ per span. The swept-tip blades have a sweep of 20◦ starting at 80%R. The blade properties are loosely based on the XV-15 design. A CATIA and Cubit-based high-fidelity three-dimensional (3D) finite element model is developed. It accurately represents the fabricated blade and is analyzed with X3D. Experiments in a vacuum chamber were carried out to demonstrate the structural integrity of the blades. Measured frequencies and strains were validated with X3D predictions proving the fidelity of the 3D model. Thus, even though the wind tunnel facilities were closed due to COVID-19, hover and forward flight calculations for the blade stress could be performed using the high-fidelity 3D structural model. The results prove the blades have sufficient structural integrity and stress margins to allow for wind tunnel testing. © 2023 Vertical Flight Society.

PurposeThe COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant and worldwide influence on healthcare delivery, and it has significantly increased the pace at which digital technology is being used. Blockchain, one of these developing digital technologies, is distinguished by a number of properties. This study focuses on a blockchain-enabled healthcare supply chain. The purpose of this work is to investigate how blockchain technology (BCT) benefits the performance of healthcare supply chain management (HSCM).Design/methodology/approachThe present study is based on the empirical research. Blockchain Technology (BCT), Healthcare Sustainable Supply Chain Practices (HSSCP), Healthcare Supply Chain Performance (HSCP) and Stakeholders' Involvement (SI) practices are identified from the literature review and hypotheses are framed to check their interrelationship. For testing of hypothesis, a questionnaire was developed. Data collection was done by healthcare professionals via Google docs. The IBM SPSS version 22.0 was used to analyze the data and IBM SPSS AMOS 22.0 software was used for the development of structural modal. The data was collected through the Google form from the stakeholders of healthcare sector and analyzed through Structural Equation Modelling.FindingsThis research is focused on adoption of BCT enabled Healthcare Sustainable Supply Chain to improve HSCP. From the result, it had been found that BCT is positively effecting the stakeholder's involvement (SI) and HSSCP practices. Cumulatively, they positively impact the performance of HSCP. From this study, it is found that adoption of BCT enabled Healthcare Sustainable Supply Chain succours to combat COVID-19 situation.Originality/valueThis study attempts to show the potential benefits of the adoption of BCT enabled HSSCP to improve HSCP.

ABSTRACT

The global pandemic changed many things from the way we do business to how we consume services. This article examines participation in various online activities before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, participant opinions about security and privacy opinions are compared in survey results before and after pandemic lockdowns. Responses to questions covering online activities and perceptions about privacy and security from the NTIA Computer and Internet Use Survey from November 2019 and 2021 were analyzed using Chi Square tests. Findings indicate that participation in online activities increased across most categories and that opinions of online security and privacy changed as well. Participants were less concerned about security risks like identity theft and banking fraud and were more concerned with privacy issues of data tracking by online services and the government.

This paper attempts to elucidate Vietnam's strategies and policies for fostering digital transformation. Vietnam has made some progress in the digital transformation of its economy but there are challenges to achieving further progress. Business enterprises struggle to adopt digital technologies due to technical, financial and regulatory constraints. These constraints include conversion costs, internal infrastructure resources, data leakages and ineffective regulations. The government has provided support for the digital transformation of enterprises through improvements in its å framework for the digital economy, promotion of science and technology, taxation regime and SME assistance. The government should undertake further legal reforms to support digital transformation, strengthen digital human resources and enhance e-government capabilities.

ABSTRACT

COVID-19 is a serious epidemic that not only endangers human health, but also wreaks havoc on the development of society. Recently, there has been research on using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques for COVID-19 detection. As AI has entered the era of big models, deep learning methods based on pre-trained models (PTMs) have become a focus of industrial applications. Federated learning (FL) enables the union of geographically isolated data, which can address the demands of big data for PTMs. However, the incompleteness of the healthcare system and the untrusted distribution of medical data make FL participants unreliable, and medical data also has strong privacy protection requirements. Our research aims to improve training efficiency and global model accuracy using PTMs for training in FL, reducing computation and communication. Meanwhile, we provide a secure aggregation rule using differential privacy and fully homomorphic encryption to achieve a privacy-preserving Byzantine robust federal learning scheme. In addition, we use blockchain to record the training process and we integrate a Byzantine fault tolerance consensus to further improve robustness. Finally, we conduct experiments on a publicly available dataset, and the experimental results show that our scheme is effective with privacy-preserving and robustness. The final trained models achieve better performance on the positive prediction and severe prediction tasks, with an accuracy of 85.00% and 85.06%, respectively. Thus, this indicates that our study is able to provide reliable results for COVID-19 detection.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Numbers of clinical documentation integrity specialists (CDIS) and CDI programs have increased rapidly. CDIS review patient records concurrently with patient admissions and visits to ensure that information is accurate, complete and non-ambiguous, and query clinicians when they see opportunities for improving data. The occupation was initially focused on improving data for reimbursement, but rapid changes to clinical coding requirements, technologies and payment systems led to a quickly evolving role for CDI programs and changes in CDIS practice. OBJECTIVE: This case study seeks to uncover the ongoing innovation and adaptation occurring in a CDI program by tracing the evolution of a single CDI program over time. METHOD: We present a case study of the CDI program at the HonorHealth hospital system in Arizona. RESULTS: The HonorHealth CDI program holds a unique hybrid expertise and role within the healthcare organisation that allows it to rapidly adapt to support emergent demands both internal and external to the organisation, such as supporting accurate data collection for the COVID-19 pandemic. CONCLUSION: CDIS are a vital component in present data-intensive resourcing efforts. The hybrid expertise of CDIS and capacity for adaption and relationship building has enabled the HonorHealth CDI program to adapt rapidly to meet a growing array of clinical documentation integrity needs, including emergent needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. IMPLICATIONS: The HonorHealth case study can guide other CDI programs in adaptation of the CDI role and practices in response to changing organisational needs.
